Staying at the Crooked Swan with my daughter was a delightful experience. The room we were provided was spacious and quirky, featuring a washstand cleverly crafted from a chopped-down antique console table. This charming detail added character and served as a wonderful conversation starter for us. The atmosphere in the inn is lively, especially in the bar and restaurant area, which creates a welcoming environment. We appreciated the family-friendly amenities, such as a breakfast that catered to all tastes—my daughter loved having the choice of how her eggs were prepared. Despite the buzz downstairs, our room was remarkably peaceful, allowing for a restful night. Dinner at the inn was also a highlight; the quality of the food was impressive and surpassed our expectations. The staff made us feel at home, always ready to assist. Our journey back to Sussex was marred by train delays, making us grateful for the hearty breakfast that kept us full until dinner. Thank you, Crooked Swan, for a memorable family getaway!
